On December 14, 2022, prior to the team departing for a 4-day visit to Israel, Hon. George Deek, Israel Ambassador to Azerbaijan, met with the ‘Through The Blink Of An Eye’ documentary team members.

It was an inspiring, spontaneous, impromptu meeting in which views on the importance of the Azerbaijan-Israel-United States collaborative triangle were brought up.

Present were Nurit Greenger, President, US-AZ Cultural Foundation (USAZCF), Eti El-Kiss, CEO Cachet Worldwide Production, and documentary “star” Arif Hajiyev.

Arif Hajiyev is a wounded Azerbaijani soldier whose eye was badly damaged while fighting in the 2020 Victory War. Arif went through a complex cornea transplant operation, the cornea donated by an Israeli family. The operation in Azerbaijan was conducted by Israeli Dr. Yishay Falick.
